The Viticulture and Oenology Unit is currently implementing the following projects:
• Italia-Malta 2007-2013 project involving the study of grape cultivation as a means to protect the environment of Mediterranean Islands.
• Various studies relating to Maltese autochthonous wine grape varieties, such as Girgentina and Ġellewża, aimed at identifying correct vineyard management practices aimed at improving the quality of their grapes.
