The Common Agricultural Policy is set to undergo a reform aimed at re-aligning its objectives with the demands and expectations of European stakeholders for the period 2014 - 2020. The 2003 reform and the 2008 'Health Check' decisions prepared the ground for this reform. The Commission Communication "The CAP towards 2020: Meeting the food, natural resources and territorial challenges of the future", which was presented on 18 November 2010, formally launched the inter-institutional debate and prepares the ground for the legal proposals to be adopted by the Commission during 2011.
The Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs is leading Malta's contribution to this debate, in consultation and with the participation and ideas of all interested stakeholders. To this it is making resources available in this section to enable the public to find resources, follow developments and make their voice heard in this process.
